Mission & Vision:
The mission of the Managed Care Institute: to drive improvement and the appropriate reimbursement throughout the continuum of care through education and collaboration among multiple stakeholders.
Software, and healthcare informatics technology in-and-of itself will not solve the deep challenges facing our healthcare system nor will it alone ensure more accessible, affordable, and higher quality care. Realizing the benefits of reimbursement and negotiation skills across the healthcare continuum is a complex, under-utilized and often misunderstood process. Stakeholder collaboration underscores the Institute's focus working to ensure reimbursement and overhead management has a transformative effect at all levels of the healthcare sector.
What We Do
The Managed Care Institute provides programs that drive innovation, educate, and provide a critical understanding of how billing, coding, contracting, negotiation, documentation, and financial risk management can improve the quality, safety and efficiency of healthcare and reduce overall costs to all concerned. We do this though a number of vehicles including: educational workshops, access to industry thought leaders, peer reviewed research, high level conferences, webinars, focus groups, topic specific committees, and other unique initiatives allowing individuals and organizations access to resources that will enable them to leverage the full value of healthcare the skills sets and domain knowledge across the groups.
